Kelly Walling - Executive Chef

Kelly Walling began his professional cooking career while attending Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Kelly continued working in restaurants in Colorado while he skied competitively in an attempt to make the US Freestyle Ski Team. In 1995, Kelly's passion for food and cooking lead him to attend the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco where he graduated with honors.

After graduation, Kelly went to work at The Casa Madrona Hotel in Sausalito before getting an opportunity to work at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio. There, as a Sous Chef under Chefs Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal, Kelly was exposed to the great culinary offerings of San Francisco and the Napa Valley. In 2003, Kelly moved to San Diego and took the position of Chef de Cuisine for Pacifica Del Mar working with Chef Chris Idso. Here he continued honing his skills, working with great seasonal products and the freshest seafood available.

Mitch Epstein - Managing Partner

A native of San Bernardino and a graduate of San Diego State University, Mitch has managed restaurants in San Diego, Chicago, Albuquerque and Las Vegas during his 25-year career. Before taking over the management of Pacifica Seafood Restaurant five years ago, he was vice president of food and beverage for Walters Golf in Las Vegas, where he managed the kitchens and staffs of Stallion Mountain Country Club, Royal Links Golf Club and Desert Pines Golf Course. Loved by guests and respected by employees, Mitch is admired throughout the Coachella Valley for his warm hospitality, delightful sense of humor and amazing memory. He is married and has two children.

At Pacifica Seafood Restaurant, with rooftop seating on the terrace atop The Garden on El Paseo, you'll enjoy courteous service and panoramic views of the mountains and valley. Lunch served from 11:30am to 3:00pm daily from October through May. Dinner served every night from 4:00pm until closing. Our Sunset Dinner special runs nightly from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
